Easy Cauliflower Gratin – Gluten Free Option in comments

Cauliflower Gratin is impressive looking, easy to make, and is as comforting as a bowl of the creamiest mashed potatoes. Makes a good side or a main dish.

1 medium head of cauliflower
1 cup of milk
1 tbsp of wheat or rice flour
1/3 cup of shredded cheese (yellow cheddar)
Grated Parmesan
Bread Crumbs (for gluten free just skip bread crumbs)
Salt, pepper, nutmeg for seasoning

– core and clean the cauliflower
– boil in salted water for 20 minutes
– cool it and chop it into small florets
– preheat the oven to 375F
– place pan on medium heat and add 1 cup of milk
– Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg
– as the milk begins to boil add one tablespoon of flour and whisk nonstop until the sauce starts to thicken
– when sauce starts to thicken turn off gas and add cauliflower and coat it
– place mixture into baking dish
– mix in the shredded cheese
– sprinkle on top with grated Parmesan and bread crumbs
– Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown
– serve warm and enjoy!
