Singapore has reported side effects in fewer than 1% of 2.2 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, based on people who received the Pfizer or Moderna jabs from end-December 2020 to mid-April 2021. Symptoms ranged from fever and headaches to more serious cases of allergic reactions. 95 people developed serious side effects, accounting for only 0.004% of total doses. The most frequently reported serious side effects were allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis — a condition that can cause coughing, itching and shortness of breath.
